Coronoid tubercle is important landmark 
located used to identify right & left sides. It is 
located on posterior inferior aspect.

Only bony attachment of upper limb with the 
axial skeleton.

1 notch (supra‐scapular notch)

1 spine (spine of the scapula)

•

1 cavity (glenoid cavity – for the humerus)

2 processes (coracoid process & acromion)

3 borders (superior, lateral and medial)

3 angles (superior, lateral and inferior)

•

3 fossae (sub‐scapularis, infra‐spinous and supra‐spinous)
