Muneer S. Al-BadranyBy use of Anesthetic agents
The anesthetic agent cause decrease activity of ventral horn cell in spinal cord , thus M.R. can be obtained when a potent anesthetic drug is administrated which cause depression whole central nervous system , alpha 2 adrenoceptor agonist which produce M.RLectures in Veterinary Anesthesia
Muneer S. Al-BadranyUtilizing drug has peripheral action
Local analgesic drugs injected directly into muscle mass or around nerve fiber or nerve ending blocks transmission of impulse and muscle fiber are effectively isolated from nervous influencesLectures in Veterinary Anesthesia
Muneer S. Al-BadranyUsing specific neuromuscular blocking agent
It has little effect or no significant action in the body other than neuromusclar junction, with out effect CNSLectures in Veterinary Anesthesia

Factors affecting the action of Neuromuscular blocking agent
1-Ageless effect young animals
2-Body temperature
3-Administration of other drugs
Any drugs has anticholenergic properties will prolong action suxamethoniumLectures in Veterinary Anesthesia

Indication of Neuromuscular drugs
1- To Relax skeletal muscle easier surgical access2-To facilitate control of respiration during intrathoraic surgery
3- To assist reduction of dislocated joint
4- To limit the amount of general anesthesia
5- To ease the induction of full anesthesia in animals already unconscious from i.v narcotic drugs
6- To facilitate the performance of endotreacheal intubation
7-To reduce need of post operative analgesics
8- To facilitate eye surgery by ensuring immobility of the eyeball

1-Should never be used unless facilites of artificial respiration available
2-Should never used with out general anesthesia
