Synovial cyst

Baker’s cyst The cyst is lined by true synovium and may have cartilage in its wall. Any joint disease leading to increased intra-articular pressure, such as degenerative joint disease, neuropathic arthropathy, and rheumatoid arthritis, may result in the formation of Baker's cyst.

This lesion was excised from the finger. The tumor is lobulated and the brown color is due to the deposition of haemosiderin.
